The Arctic is a multi-function care bed that lets one carer look after the user. It can turn the person from side to side through the night on a program set to their needs, so repositioning can be hands-free day and night.
Sections move even while the person is sitting up, and each leg can be raised separately, giving endless position changes for pressure relief, breathing, comfort and manual handling. It suits complex needs such as muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, cerebral palsy and tissue-viability problems.
