Protect your baby's head shape while they sleep.
Your baby sleeps on the back – the position paediatricians recommend. Mimos spreads the pressure on the soft skull, so the head does not flatten.

Safe back-sleeping has a hidden side effect.
In the first months a baby's skull is soft and grows fast. When it rests on the same spot for hours, it can flatten – plagiocephaly (on one side) or brachycephaly (at the back), also called flat head syndrome.
1 in 5 babies
had a significant flat head at 3 months in a Swedish study.
It happens fast
Especially in the first 3 months – often before parents notice.
It can affect the face
Ears or eyes out of line, or the forehead pushed forward on one side.
You should not have to choose between safe sleep and a nicely rounded head.

We understand. And we know what helps.
Worrying about your baby's head is normal. Mimos is a medical device, handmade in Barcelona since 2010, and recommended by paediatric physiotherapists and osteopaths in many countries. At OrthoHouse we help you find the right size.
“Appears to be both effective and safe.”
“Reduces pressure on the skull.”
Paediatric osteopaths and physiotherapists recommend it alongside their treatment.
More contact area. Less pressure.
On a flat mattress, the whole weight of the head rests on one small spot. The Mimos cavity cradles the head and shares the weight – up to 4 times less pressure.

Studied at a university – not just in a lab.
In a randomised study at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), 79 infants aged 0–2 months were split into two groups. At about 3 months:
Öhman A. Health 2014;6:1092-1098.
Randomised study – 2014
Asymmetry fell significantly in the Mimos group (p = 0.002), not in the control group (p = 0.96).
Pilot study – 2013
When head pressure was reduced, 47% had a fully symmetrical head, compared with 12% of the others.
Case report – 2013
Two infants with flat head, one month of regular use: CVAI from 8.3 to 4.9 and from 5.7 to 2.4.

From what age?
From birth, even for premature babies (size XS). The manufacturer recommends it for babies aged 0–18 months.
Does it help if the head is already flat?
The manufacturer recommends it for prevention and treatment, and studies show improvement. Talk to your paediatrician or physiotherapist first about a treatment plan.
How do I clean it?
It is anti-allergic and mite-resistant, easy to clean and quick to dry. The cotton Mimos cover protects it from milk and sweat.
