This multi-positional ankle-foot splint from Comforsil holds the foot and ankle in a controlled position for patients who cannot move their legs themselves, such as bedridden, paralysed or intensive care patients. It controls lower limb rotation (neutral, internal or external) and dorsiflexion, and is also used after surgery to the knee, hip or foot.
Rotation control
Keeps the leg in neutral, internal or external rotation as required.
Dorsiflexion control
Holds the ankle in a controlled position.
Stable heel base
A wide base under the heel keeps the leg in the chosen position.
Padded, three straps
Padded lining and three straps with buckles at the calf, ankle and forefoot.
Indications
- Hemiplegia and paraplegia
- Lower limb paralysis
- Immobilised or comatose patients (e.g. in intensive care)
- Plantar fasciitis
- Post-operative therapy of the knee, hip and foot when lower limb rotation and dorsiflexion need to be controlled
